| The 1st league game of the season in the WEPL Glos Division saw Fairford the visitors and after winning the toss they decided to field with 7 players due to a car accident (story of the day it seems lol).
A studious start saw slow but steady progress and after Stu Tame got a half century others chipped in with 20's and a total of 170-6 was reached of our 45 overs. The defence of the total started well and Stef got a wicket in his 1st over whilst Ed looked rusty at the other end, soon spin was introduced mixed with the skippers skidders and wickets fell at fairly regular intervals with Steve getting 1, Tash 3 and Nick Hill got in on the act with 2 as well as a catch and a run out and Fairford closed on 139-9. It got pretty dark towards the end hence the grainy pictures. |
